Install zsh

sudo apt install zsh

Switch from bash to zsh then exit current session and log back in

chsh -s $(which zsh)

Install zsh auto-suggestions and sytnax-highlighting

sudo apt install zsh-autosuggestions zsh-syntax-highlighting

zsh config

located in your home directory under .zshrc add the following

source /usr/share/zsh-autosuggestions/zsh-autosuggestions.zsh
source /usr/share/zsh-syntax-highlighting/zsh-syntax-highlighting.zsh
